If you believe in the power of Yoga to Live your Best Life daily – and to Inspire Change in the Health & Happiness of People around you – then Yoga is the world’s foremost Body-Mind-Spirit Tech there is!

The 4 reasons most students Train as Teachers:

  1. Deepen your Yoga & Meditation Practice.
  2. Understand the Roots of Yoga.
  3. Make awesome like-minded Friends; find your Soul Tribe!
  4. Invest in your Future Self – both as a Person and a Professional Teacher/ Coach.

I’ve been Teaching Yoga & Meditation for nearly 20 years, combining my old-school Training having lived with my Guru for 7 years learning Yoga, Dhyaan & Tantra – with a University degree in Psychology.

This helps our Training to be Authentic combining Traditional values with Modern research – preparing students to be Yogis first, and equipping them with the foundation to develop into world-class Teachers.

I’ve Trained Yoga Teachers for 15 years and co-founded Total Yoga in 2010 which spread from India to the US, UK, UAE, Singapore & NZ. 21st Century Yoga, set up in 2020, looks at solving challenges for today’s Yogis around the world.

Core Curriculum - 200 hrs Teacher Training Course

Jan 14th is Makar Sankranti – the day the SUN enters the Northern Hemisphere, bringing longer Days. It’s a very auspicious day celebrated since ancient times in India – the only Indian festival linked to the Sun, and as a Harvest festival.

For Yogis, the dawning of the Sun has always been a symbol of the dawning of Self-Knowledge making Sankranti arguably the most auspicious day to begin one’s Yoga Training.

Jan 31st is the New Moon and the day we embark on a new Journey, having set ourselves the Right Intention. The New Moon is auspicious for setting our ‘Sankalpa’ – Resolve, and then letting that seed grow into the Life we want to live. We begin a Journey of seeking Excellence in Yoga and its Teaching from that day, as our course completes.

Jan 17 is the Full Moon, which we’ll celebrate on 18th morning from 4-6am ‘Brahma Muhurta’ (auspicious time for Meditation) with Yoga, Dance & Dhyaan as the Full Moon lights up the Arabian Sea and the Sun rises majestically at dawn!
Yoga education begins after your first Teacher Training Course! This is something that all Teachers will tell you.

The 21st Century Yoga Academy facilitates ongoing Education for Yoga Teachers including monthly Live virtual Learning meetups.
